History of the Faculty
From the Chachoengsao Teacher Training School to today's Faculty of Industrial Technology.
The Faculty of Industrial Technology at Rajabhat Rajanagarindra University provides education in industrial sciences under the Rajabhat University Act.
From crafts to industrial technology
From 1955, every student at the Chachoengsao Teacher Training School studied at least three craft subjects, such as drafting, woodwork, masonry, electrical work and metalwork, so they could teach them in primary schools.
On 1 October 1970 the school became Chachoengsao Teachers College. Crafts became a minor and later the Industrial Arts major, which joined the Bachelor of Education programme after the Teachers College Act of 1975.
From 1984 the college could train professionals beyond teaching, and the Department of Crafts and Industrial Arts began offering industrial technology at diploma and bachelor’s levels.
Founding the faculty
In 1995 the Rajabhat Institutes Council launched a project to establish nine faculties of industrial technology, and Chachoengsao joined with programmes in Industrial Technology, Industrial Product Design and Ceramics.
The faculty was formally established in 1999 by the Ministry of Education, teaching on the main campus and at the Bang Khla centre. In 2005 it became an official unit of Rajabhat Rajanagarindra University.
